DIY Amaretto Milkshake

That’s right, an Amaretto Milkshake! This boozy delight is sure to impress your friends and family. The best part? There’s so much customization you can do! We’ll give you the basic recipe for a killer amaretto milkshake, with a few tips on how to make it even more decadent. 

Ingredients

• Amaretto - We know we’re playing favorites, but really Disaronno is one of the most popular brands for a reason!
• Vanilla Ice Cream - Yes really, plain old vanilla. Don’t skimp here, a better quality vanilla ice cream will make or break your milkshake. Bonus points if you can make your own. Non-dairy ice-cream can work. 
• Milk - Once again if you need to opt for a non-dairy option, soy or almond milk work great! Though you may find your drink gets a little extra sweet depending on the type. 

Optional toppings include - Whipped Cream, Cherries, Chocolate Syrup, Caramel, or even sprinkles!

If you’ve ever made a milkshake, you can make an Amaretto Milkshake. This is a great cocktail to add to any barbeque or at-home date night. To make a batch that serves roughly 2 people use the following:

• 6 Scoops Ice Cream
• 3 / 4 Cup of Milk
• 2 ounces of Disaronno (It’s hard to add booze later so if you KNOW you both like strong drinks, go ahead and double this)
• Whatever Toppings You Want 

Combine the ice cream, milk, and amaretto in a blender until it is the desired consistency. Pour into your glasses and throw on the toppings!
