Our team at DrinkableGifts.com work their hardest to make sure your order is delivered in a timely fashion, but to do that we need your help. Our delivery polices, explanation of how we process your order, and reasons we ask for certain information is listed below.
Due to laws about liquor transportation we do have some restrictions on where we can deliver. We deliver to every major city in the regions we are legally allowed to service, unless otherwise noted in our catalog. If you do not see the country you are looking for in our list of serviced locations or if you are unsure about a location, please contact us.
If you would like to check on the status of your order you can use your order number to look it up at Order Tracker page. If you prefer, you can e-mail us, call, or chat to one of our customer service representatives who are happy to help 24/7. Please keep in mind that we need a minimum of 2 business days to process your order for any chosen delivery date.
In many regions, we can offer faster delivery, please look at our complete list of serviced countries for details on areas where we can deliver faster.
Please also keep in mind that we cannot guarantee delivery on Sundays, legal holidays, or during extreme and dangerous weather. If you pick one of these dates, or if a gift needs to be delayed due to circumstances out of our control, we will deliver on the soonest available date.
If for any reason there is an issue with your order, such as missing information, or your recipient wasn’t home to accept the package, we will contact you either by telephone and/or e-mail.
We typically deliver gifts from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm local time. We are not able to guarantee a specific time for gift delivery, but if you make a request we will do our best to make it happen.
It’s important to note that most nations require an adult to sign for a package containing alcohol; we will be unable to simply leave the gift unattended in most cases. If the recipient is not able to accept the gift we will try the following:
In an office we will leave the gift with a receptionist or mail clerk when possible.
Call the recipient to work out alternate delivery.
Leave a note on your recipient’s door asking them to call our local courier to arrange delivery.
In all cases we will notify you.
As you are placing an order on our website you may notice that some dates are greyed out an unable to be selected, these are dates we are not able to guarantee delivery in the chosen country. This can be for many reasons, including:
Not enough time between the date of purchase and your requested delivery date.
No weekend delivery in this country.
Other delays, such as weather, that we have been made aware of.
If you select a date that is not guaranteed, or becomes unavailable, we will do our best to deliver your order as close to the date as possible.
We ask for your recipient’s local phone number to ensure a smooth delivery. We only contact the recipient in cases where the local courier needs to confirm that someone will be home at the time of delivery.
However, a call is not always required: when delivering to an office, through 3rd party shippers (such as DHL, FedEX, UPS, etc.) the courier will not typically call the recipient. That having been said, we always require that we have a number on file so we can try to solve any issues, such as the recipient moving without your knowledge, quickly and easily.
In the event that a local courier is unable to complete delivery due to the recipient being unavailable, the gift may be left at a local post office for them to pick up. If that is the case, a note will be left on their door and we will do our best to reach the recipient to let them know. We cannot be held responsible if the recipient fails to collect the gift before contents have spoiled, or before the post office is required to throw the gift out.
If delivery is incomplete because you provided incorrect address information, DrinkableGifts.com will not be responsible for delivery delays or failure, and no refund will be allowed.
In this event, or the event that recipient moved and we are not able to arrange another delivery destination with you or your recipient, no refund will be possible.
Every order at DrinkableGifts.com undergoes an in-depth verification to make sure that the purchase is secure and to protect your financial information. If we are not able to reach you for verification of your first order with us, or if for some reason you are unable to provide the required information in a timely manner, your order may be delayed. Your order will only be shipped once our anti-fraud team has all of the required information to verify your payment.
Due to an increase in orders we are unable to guarantee same-day, or next-day deliveries during busy holiday seasons including: Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Easter, or Mother’s Day. We will also have cut off dates for many of these holidays and will do our best to advertise these cut offs on our website.
Many businesses do not allow liquor to be delivered in their building. Please, make sure you check with the business before sending a gift anywhere but to a recipient’s home.
Our couriers will do their best to deliver to locations such as hotels, colleges, businesses, etc. However it is often the case that these buildings will require the gift be left at the reception or mail room to then be forwarded to your recipient. While delivery success rate is high in these instances, we may be unable to verify directly with the recipient if they got the gift. If a delivery fails because you ask us to deliver to a building that is required to refuse delivery, we will be unable to take responsibility for the delivery delay or failure.
Any gift packaging will vary based on the region, holidays, and what is needed to ensure that glass bottles arrive intact. The gift may arrive in a box, basket, wooden chest, or other gift display as subject to regional availability and the items included in the gift you chose. We reserve the right to make substitutions to the packaging based on availability or the need to secure multiple glass bottles.
If you have ordered multiple alcohol gifts going to the same address, it is possible that they may not be coming from the same warehouse. Separate items may arrive in separate boxes or at different times. We will do our best to ensure that all items arrive at the same time, or as close as possible, but we cannot guarantee it, only that they will arrive on the same date. You will not be charged for extra shipping if they arrive from separate warehouses.
If you are sending to multiple gifts to different people at the same address you will be charged shipping per gift, as each gift will receive its own card, wrapping, processing, and handling.
If you or your recipient want to return any new, unopened items, for any reasons you may do so within 5 business days for a full refund. In the event that the return is the result of an error we made, we will also pay for the return shipping. Items will need to be returned in their original packaging. Please contact us for instructions on how and where to return your product.
It is sometimes possible to make minor substitutions to your gift basket due to product unavailability for urgent order, OR if the order is sent to a very remote location. Please review our full Gift Substitution Policy for more details.
Whereas we do not cancel orders without a good reason, if a cancellation is approved by Management, our company may have to charge a cancellation fee to cover administrative costs. We do not accept cancellations under any circumstances once the gift has been shipped. Orders which are not cancelled within 1 hour of placing are subject to a non-refundable handling fee equivalent to up to 30% of the order total (subject to change).
If you wish to cancel your order, please send us an e-mail, contact us via live chat or give us a call within 1 hour of placing or 5 business days prior to the delivery date to avoid any cancellation fees.
PLEASE NOTE: We will only be able to cancel orders placed for delivery between December 1 and December 31 within 1 hour of receiving the order due to the fact that these orders are processed for shipment in a timely manner and we'll be unable to issue a refund for them.
It is rare, but it does happen. Often for personal reasons, or because their business will not allow them to accept gifts at the office. If this happens, we will work with you to try and find an option to redirect the order to another address or recipient in the same country. In this case, we may ask you to pay additional shipping or repackaging costs. If you are unable to offer an option to redirect the order to another address in the same country, we will not be able to offer a refund.
DrinkableGifts.com complies with all local and international laws for every country that we serve. We will only act as your agent in delivery gifts in accordance to all applicable laws. All orders are fulfilled and delivered by licensed retailers. In countries where we cannot do this, we do not operate. Minors are forbidden by law to send or receive any gift containing liquor, beer, or wine. The age for those allowed to accept or send gifts with any kind of alcohol vary by country or region.
