DIY Godfather

Maybe you’re watching the movies, or maybe you just have old-world tastes. Whatever it is, the Godfather cocktail is a fine choice in drinks! It’s also very straight forward. Despite its short ingredient list and simple preparation, it offers a flavor combination that is absolutely unmatched.

Ingredients:

Scotch - We can’t stress enough here picking out a scotch that you like sipping. Blended scotches or scotches with a bold smokey profile work particularly well. We recommend a bottle of Ardbeg 10 which is known the world over for its full-bodied flavor and smoky finish.
Amaretto - Go with your gut here. Disaronno is our favorite, but if you have one you like better, by all means, reach for it! With only 2 ingredients there’s nothing to hide behind here so picking your favorites is KEY.

To make a Godfather cocktail you really don’t need anything more fancy than something to stir with and a glass filled with ice. Pour

1 1 /2 ounces of Scotch
1 / 4 ounce of Amaretto

Into your glass and stir. Really, that’s it. If you find the drink isn’t quite sweet enough try adding a touch more amaretto to mellow out the scotch. This no-frills cocktail is as straight up as they come!
